Privacy Policy

Stacker Tracker is designed with privacy in mind. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the Stacker Tracker mobile application (“Stacker Tracker,” “the app”), how that information is used, and the choices available to you.

1. Portfolio Data

Information you enter into Stacker Tracker about your precious metals portfolio is stored locally on your device. This may include information such as:

Stacker Tracker does not upload this portfolio information to a Stacker Tracker server as part of your account.

Because this information is stored locally, you are responsible for maintaining access to your device and any backups or exported files you create.

2. Account Information

Stacker Tracker provides an account system. When you create or use an account, information necessary to provide authentication and account functionality is processed through Supabase.

This information may include your email address, account identifier, authentication information, and information necessary to maintain your account session.

Your Stacker Tracker account is separate from the precious-metals portfolio information stored locally on your device.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Stacker Tracker may offer optional paid features through Stacker Tracker Pro.

On Android, purchases and payments are processed through Google Play. Stacker Tracker does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card information.

RevenueCat is used to manage subscription status, purchase entitlements, and access to Pro features. A Stacker Tracker account identifier may be provided to RevenueCat so that subscription access can be associated with your account.

Google Play and RevenueCat may process information relating to purchases and subscriptions according to their own privacy policies and terms.

4. Market Price and Currency Services

Stacker Tracker retrieves information needed to provide features such as precious-metal market prices and currency conversion. Requests to these services may involve technical information ordinarily transmitted when communicating with an online service, such as network information necessary to complete the request.

Your locally stored portfolio records are not required to be uploaded to provide market-price information.

5. Exported, Imported, and Backup Data

Stacker Tracker may allow you to export portfolio information, create spreadsheet files, import information, or create and restore backups.

Files that you export or back up are under your control after they leave the app. You are responsible for choosing where those files are stored, shared, or backed up and for protecting them appropriately.

Information imported into Stacker Tracker becomes part of the locally stored app data on your device.

Stacker Tracker uses third-party services to provide certain functionality. These may include:

8. Data Security

Reasonable measures are used to protect information processed through Stacker Tracker and the services it relies upon. Network communications with online services are transmitted using secure connections where supported.

Portfolio information stored locally on your device is also subject to the security of your device. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Data Retention and Account Deletion

Portfolio information stored locally remains on your device until you remove it, clear the app's data, uninstall the app, or otherwise delete that information. Exported or backup copies remain wherever you have chosen to store them until you delete them.

Account-related information may be retained for as long as your Stacker Tracker account remains active or as necessary to provide the service. Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcement of applicable agreements.

Users may request deletion of their Stacker Tracker account and associated account data. Account-deletion instructions will be available through Stacker Tracker and the Stacker Tracker website.

Deleting your online Stacker Tracker account does not necessarily delete portfolio files or records stored locally on your device or copies that you previously exported or backed up. Those locally controlled copies must be deleted separately by you.

10. Children's Privacy

Stacker Tracker is not directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If we learn that personal information belonging to a child has been collected improperly, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to Stacker Tracker, its services, or applicable requirements. When the policy is updated, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.
