Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Stacker Tracker mobile application (“Stacker Tracker,” “the app”) and related services. By using Stacker Tracker, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the app.

1. About Stacker Tracker

Stacker Tracker is a precious-metals tracking and portfolio-management application designed to help users organize information about physical gold, silver, platinum, and palladium.

Features may include precious-metal market prices and charts, inventory tracking, purchase and sale records, portfolio summaries, precious-metals calculations, backup and restore tools, spreadsheet export and import tools, portfolio insights, and other Pro features. Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

2. Your Account

Some Stacker Tracker features require an account. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, keeping access to your email account secure, and activities performed through your account.

You may not use another person’s account without authorization. We may suspend or terminate access to an account when reasonably necessary to protect the app, other users, or our services, or when these Terms are violated.

3. Your Portfolio Data

Information you enter about your precious-metals collection is stored locally on your device unless otherwise stated. This may include inventory records, purchase and sale information, quantities and weights, prices and costs, dealer information, dates, notes, and other information about your stack.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for maintaining appropriate backups of information that is important to you. Stacker Tracker cannot guarantee recovery of locally stored data if your device is lost, damaged, reset, replaced, or otherwise becomes unavailable.

4. Backups, Exports, and Imported Files

Stacker Tracker may allow you to create backups, export spreadsheet or CSV files, and import information into the app.

Once files are exported from Stacker Tracker, you are responsible for where the files are stored, who has access to them, how they are shared, how they are backed up, and their security and confidentiality.

You should review imported data for accuracy before relying on it. Stacker Tracker is not responsible for loss, corruption, modification, or unauthorized access to files after they are exported from the app.

5. Market Prices and Other Data

Stacker Tracker may display precious-metal prices, currency information, charts, and other market-related information obtained from external services. This information is provided for general informational and tracking purposes only.

Market information may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or inaccurate due to network conditions, third-party services, market disruptions, technical issues, or other factors. Stacker Tracker does not guarantee that displayed prices represent the exact price at which you can buy or sell a particular coin, round, bar, or other item.

Actual transaction prices may differ due to premiums, dealer spreads, condition, rarity, taxes, fees, location, availability, and other factors.

6. Not Financial, Investment, Tax, or Legal Advice

Stacker Tracker is an informational and recordkeeping tool. Nothing provided through the app constitutes financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any investment or precious metal.

You are responsible for your own financial decisions. If you require professional advice, consult an appropriate qualified professional.

7. Stacker Tracker Pro

Certain features may require a paid Stacker Tracker Pro subscription. Pro features may include portfolio insights, spreadsheet tools, reporting features, and other premium functionality. Available Pro features may change over time.

8. Subscriptions and Billing

On Android, Stacker Tracker Pro subscriptions are purchased and billed through Google Play. Subscription prices, billing periods, renewal information, and other purchase details are shown through Google Play before you complete a purchase.

Unless otherwise indicated by Google Play, subscriptions may automatically renew until canceled. You are responsible for managing your subscription through the Google Play account used to make the purchase.

Cancellation, billing, payment methods, renewal, and refund handling are subject to Google Play’s applicable terms, policies, and procedures. Canceling a subscription does not necessarily result in an immediate refund. Where applicable, access to Pro features may continue until the end of the current paid subscription period after cancellation.

9. Subscription Access and Restoration

Stacker Tracker uses subscription-management services to determine whether your account has access to Pro features. You may be able to restore purchases when supported by the applicable app store and subscription services.

We cannot guarantee immediate restoration if third-party billing or subscription services are temporarily unavailable.

10. Account and Subscription Separation

Your Stacker Tracker account and your Google Play billing account are separate systems. A subscription purchase may be associated with your Stacker Tracker account for the purpose of determining access to Pro features.

Signing out of Stacker Tracker does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Deleting a Stacker Tracker account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. You are responsible for canceling subscriptions through Google Play when appropriate.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, accounts, systems, or services; circumvent subscription or access controls; interfere with or disrupt the operation of the app; use the app for unlawful purposes; reverse engineer or misuse the app except where applicable law expressly permits it; or use automated systems to abuse or overload services used by Stacker Tracker.

12. Third-Party Services

Stacker Tracker relies on third-party services for certain functionality, including services related to authentication, subscriptions, billing, market data, and app distribution. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, policies, or operation of third-party services outside our reasonable control.

13. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep Stacker Tracker available and functioning properly, but uninterrupted operation cannot be guaranteed. The app or individual features may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, internet or network issues, third-party service outages, software updates, device compatibility issues, security concerns, or other technical problems.

We may modify, improve, suspend, replace, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.

14. No Warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Stacker Tracker is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, that the app will be free from errors, that market data will always be accurate or current, that locally stored data can always be recovered, or that the app will meet every user's individual needs.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Stacker Tracker and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of or inability to use the app.

This includes losses related to lost or corrupted locally stored data, financial decisions, investment gains or losses, reliance on market-price information, third-party service interruptions, or lost access to exported files or backups.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

16. Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their Stacker Tracker account in accordance with the account-deletion options provided through the app or Stacker Tracker website.

Deleting your Stacker Tracker account does not automatically delete portfolio files, exported data, or backups that remain on your own devices or storage locations. You are responsible for deleting locally controlled copies you no longer want.

Deleting an account also does not automatically cancel any active Google Play subscription.

17. Termination

You may stop using Stacker Tracker at any time. We may restrict or terminate access to the app or related services when reasonably necessary because of abuse, unlawful activity, security concerns, violation of these Terms, or discontinuation of the service.

Sections of these Terms that reasonably should continue after termination, including disclaimers and limitations of liability, will remain in effect.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the app, services, laws, policies, or business practices. When the Terms are updated, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.

Continued use of Stacker Tracker after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.

19. Privacy

Your use of Stacker Tracker is also subject to the Stacker Tracker Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how information is processed and how locally stored portfolio data is handled.
